![]() Small and difficult to spread out a couple suitcases without using the bed. That's the width of that part of the room. The King bed has a small nightstand on each side of the bed. Room was clean but the beds only have a flat sheet, cover sheet over a cheap white duvet. They have a red credenza that includes refrigerator and clothes drawers that look like they came from a Chinese 2nd hand store. Dark and dreary, furniture in good shape but mismatched. Dark decor (gray wallpaper with red pin stripes. NO FRILLS! Rooms must have been renovated over 10 years ago. Two little trash cans placed in the room to hold you over until you check out. Tiny lobby, no restaurant, no housekeeping unless you call down for towels on your own. The Kimpton is a small building plate to the right. Maybe that's why it says Onyx above the doorway on a faded black awning. I have no idea why Kimpton allows their name to be used on this property. ![]() This hotel should only be booked if you want a good location but lots of other properties offer that at similar prices. Otherwise, you can just save your money by sleeping in your car. Go to this hotel if you want a prime location with a ridiculous stupid charging policy and the runaround if you have questions. As others have shared, there are cheaper, better places around there too. Many of the employees were not wearing masks, even though there was a sign that there was mandatory masks throughout the hotel, and the only thing that makes it worth it is the location. We verified that I would get the $770 back. My girlfriend called around lunchtime to connect with the manager. They were able to give me back $75 the next day (Sunday) but I have to wait 3-5 business days for the rest of my money? He was not very helpful either. At that point, we would have to call again if the issue was not rectified. However, I would have to wait until Wednesday at the earliest or Friday at the latest. Marquis said he would have to connect me to the manager who was not in yet. It seemed like instead of removing the $150, they charged my stay again. I shared that I was charged $1390 for the entire stay. I called the hotel and Marquis (sp?) picked up. The next morning I woke up to $770 and $620 charged on my account. I think that was because of the amount of guests, so we weren't too upset. ![]() Valet was a little bit iffy, but definitely didn't ruin the experience. No wait at all! When we checked out, I asked for final verification and my car back from valet. I actually got the $75 back in my account the day after. He even told me to stop by before check out to completely verify everything. He removed the $75 immediately and apologized. ![]() I asked him why we were charged $225 instead of $150 and he fixed that issue. He explained there was a $75 incidental fee that would be used as a hold. It also seemed like there were newer staff members around, but Jay was ready to help. I was very confused, so I went downstairs in the morning to figure this out. The gentlemen at the front desk let us in and we ended up parking at a nearby parking garage. The valet wasn't there either, but seeing how late it was, that was fine. We were thrilled about the price and the location. I'm a silver member and she's a diamond member. The rate for my total stay was $620+my Hilton points. My girlfriend and I were both very excited because of the prime location and ease of access to so many cool things. I stayed at this hotel over the weekend (10/22-10/24) for a concert at TD Garden.
